Last week i was taken to Paris.
It was such a full couple of days, my highlights were..
- The way of life - how they go to dedicated shops to by the 'fromage' 'jambon' and 'bread'. How deeply relaxed the locals seamed to be and how they enjoy company and frequent quenching in the local cafe.
- Mistaking a monument by the Louve as the 'arc de triumph', as Warren put it, the Louve really did 'eclipse' the 'arc'.
- The pompidou center - such a huge collection of modern art incased within an outside building. Seeing the Chagall painting below. You know when you recognise something but dont know where from. Well i realised last night in bed that id done my A level drama exam piece around that very painting, i knew my eyes had spent far to long looking at a photocopy of the paining. I tell you if they brought the real thing into our Class we all would of been alot more inspired.
- Our last evening meal followed by an evening stroll up the 600+ steps of the eiffel tower. Very idyllic.
Its a place that i'd do my research and much like to go back again. I have a soft spot for french windows and the Parisians rule in that department.
Now, this week is my 'get down to work' week. With 3.5weeks left untill i hand in my final major project (or FMP as the cool kids like to call it) i need to decide on my final piece.
I started with this....

and am now trying to turn that into something. I've had all these kind of interactive screen printed ideas, but i'm not convinced of how practical they are.
These are a few illustrations im going to screen print, and just see where they take me.
Have a good week x
