Im very aware that the majority of posts have been about my 'day'. I have many of interesting ideas for good quality blog posts, but lack the time and energy to see them through, so easter break this will happen!

If you saw the previous post, you would know about my 'exhibition' type thing in Oxfam bookshop Swansea (opposite Cosmo's). Well Monday 27th (my birthday) i put it up. So drop by and have a look:)

Also, Sunday 26th i experienced the best surprise party everrrrr... genuinely had one of the funnest nights dancing and eating cake, was overwhelmed and blessed to have such great family, boyfriend and friends who pulled it all together.

I have had some marvellous cakes this year, mim made some beautiful mini victoria sponges, becky made some lovely butterfly cakes and my mum made this impressive snow ball coconut cake which was delicious! Even if my little brother blew the candles out before me :(

 Second attempt..
Warrens 3rd present to me was this poster, he got one of his friends to create and design it  and its based on a picture taken when i was pretending to be Jesus in bulgaria. Then the verse is real special to me, its painted on my bedroom wall and it got said to me when i really needed to hear it.

have a good joyful week, just learnt a new word...

NOS DA! x

Saturday 25 February 2012

Hi there, its been a busy mixed week and im glad to of reached the weekend. The next week seams to be just as crazy but im prepared to embrace it, with my birthday, exhibition and interview in Glasgow (which means i get to go on a plane!!) its all exciting stuff :)

[For my latest project i've been experimenting with free stitching onto soluble fabric]

As i was saying, the exhibition...
Ive been rubbish with putting posters up, in fact i haven't put any up, i get a bit embarrassed with things like that, so hear is the poster - in an environmental format!!

I went shopping in Homebase last sat, and enjoyed picking a selection of flowers to plant up in a tea set to compliment my textiles piece. My textiles piece is about the journey of tea from the plantation to our kitchens, and seeing as its international womens day i thought flowers were very fitting :)

[The finished product - i hope it survives as theres no draining system.]

Also, ive done a bit of shopping this week which believe it or not dosent happen all that oftern and i especially shouldn't be doing it seeing i dont have a job, but hey its my birthday monday i'll survive.

I figured i don't have a smart appropriate 'interview' jacket, worried that i'll be ridiculed for preaching fair trade fashion when im gunna be in a h&m skirt i thought id better get a bit of people tree on me.

I was looking at my nose, and the tacky stud which is in it, and thought "why pay the money to get your nose pierced when you go and stick that bit of plastic bling in it."
So i purchased this handmade pearl ring, its beautiful, i just hope it suits me!!

Thats been my week, well parts of it. Have a good week lottsa love xxxx

Sunday 12 February 2012

I took a trip to London with my boyfriend, for an early birthday present we went to see the black keys. When the set 'ended', they went off, and came back on with 'everlasting light', which was mesmerising See it hear.

So after a night of dancing and queues, we  arrived in Harrow at Suzies halls to be greeted with a fire alarm and freshly cooked pancakes with blueberry sauce (the two were not related.)
We all squished up in suzies tidy wee room and fell asleep.

Saturday, consisted of Tate Britain, Chelsea Space, Tubes, Cloth House which is the cutest most beautiful fabric shop i have ever seen, its all hand printed and dyed material which is nothing but inspirational See Hear

Our aim for the day was to find Hummingbird Bakery, and take suz there as its her birthday on Monday!! So we brought cup cakes and sat in Soho Square munching and drinking (warm beverages.) in the snow covered gardens.

This weekend was a good'un and the most enjoyable trip to London, ive had in a long time x
